MEET GAIL
New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
Gail Tosh resides in Baldwinsville, New York, where she lives with her wife, Jen Lawrence, and their two children: Graeme, 13, and Oliver, 9. She received her high school diploma from Jamesville-Dewitt High School and is a graduate of Empire State College. Her degree is a BA in Social Theory, Social Structure & Change, with a concentration in Leadership.
Over the years, Gail has lived on two continents and worked at a variety of jobs in different fields including language and management. As an English as a Second Language teacher, Gail taught students in Minsk, Belarus, as well as refugees in Syracuse, NY, through CYO and InterFaith Works. During her time overseas, she was also a language consultant on books and video games, as well as an editor of content for official foreign government websites. Her management experience includes operations management and entrepreneurship. She was a general manager for a large pizza chain, and an accomplished massage therapist. Helping people is a core value and interest in her life.
Currently, Gail homesteads and has involved herself with many of the pressing issues facing her community. Last year she hosted a powerfully charged refugee "meet and greet" in Baldwinsville. She has been involved in several charitable organizations including Catholic Charities, Kindred Hearts Animal Rescue, Duck Race to End Racism, and WXXE Community Radio. She constantly strives to better the circumstances in the communities she lives in, the state she lives in, and the country she loves.
